Lifestyle

1. Food and drink

As a Vitality coach I work in co-operation with Vital4life

During the retreats in the Czech Republic and the Singing Days in the Netherlands, Marjan Haslinghuis, who cooks according to the 5 Elements dietetics, caters for us.

Usually, I recommend to eat and drink along the following guidelines:

- Smile before you start eating
- Chew well
- Do not drink during meals
- Start the day with 2 glasses of water with a drop of lemon

- Drink 2 litres of vitalized water per day, possibly warm water with a small piece of ginger root
- Eat according to the seasons and whatever the land has to offer
- Use organic foods
- Eat fish twice a week and tofu, tempeh, seitan, etc. the rest of the week
- Fruit in the morning and during the day lots of vegetables; eat less carbohydrates
- Follow a cleansing or juice cure in Spring
- Detox once a year for heavy metals and pesticides
- Eat few E-numbers or other synthetic additives
- Take the right oil: virgin cold pressed olive oil, flaxseed oil, pumpkin pith oil or evening primrose oil, for the right proportions of omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids
- Coconut oil is the cure for unwanted viruses and bacteria
- Eat small red fruit, all sorts of berries: cranberries, sea-buckthorn, blackthorn, goji
- Do not use alcohol, or drink 2 glasses of water with your drink of alcohol
- Do not use aluminium pans, but iron or cast iron ones, or earthenware pots.
